Football manager Bobby Motaung told Goal that a meeting is already lined up with Mathoho and his agent, Tim Sukazi, to discuss the possibility of extending his stay at the club.

Having already entered the final six months of his current deal with the Glamour Boys, Mathoho is eligible to sign a pre-contract with a club of his choice.

Chiefs lost a few of their senior players in the past, including Tefu Mashamaite, Reneilwe Letsholonyane and Mandla among others after leaving contractual talks too late.

However, Motaung hasn’t started pressing the panic bellingham kit buttonas yet; saying the 26-year-old’s future at the club is “safe”.

“I will speak to Mathoho and his agent sometime this week… no pressure. His future [at the club] is safe,” Motaung told Goal.
